I really liked these verses in Leviticus when I read them yesterday. They gave me peace and assurance that Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and feel His love. It reminds me that it is important to keep the commandments to live with safety in our minds as well as in our physical circumstances.
From the LDS Old Testament Student Manual (Chapter 16 Section 14):
"This chapter illustrates the commitment of faith and trust in God that was required of one who truly followedthe law."
"Modern followers of the higher gospel law would do well to assess their own commitment to God and their own love of neighbor by asking themselves if they could live such a law."
