October 28

Hurricane is at the age when he has a choice of Halloween costumes. I'm sure before this Halloween is over he will have been 3 or more different characters. At his Joy School Halloween party, he was Thomas. At the church Trunk or Treat, he was a tiger and would growl upon demand. He still is trying to decide what he wants to be for Halloween day.

Underfoot has been enjoying school and happy to attend. He likes especially when he gets to go to a friend's house to play. This week a friend came to our house and he was thrilled! They used their imaginations to make the early afternoon special for Underfoot and hopefully his friend. Hurricane jumps right into the middle of the play some times to his benefit and some times to his detriment.

We decided to not cut pumpkins this year but to put on stickers. Less mess. Easy clean up. Mama can still use the pumpkins after they've been displayed.

As always, we had a busy week. Mama had meetings several times during the week in the evening. One night was a seminar of sorts about marriage and communication. I had scouts on Wednesday.

The big news this week was the Spooky Run. It is a 5k run put on by the PTA of Underfoot's school. We 'ran' the run as a family. This mainly consisted of Hurricane being pushed in a stroller while Underfoot alternately ran and walked the course. At one point I caught up to Mama and relieved her of prodding Underfoot to run. Underfoot climbed on board the one man running stroller (Hurricane was already in place) and down the hill the three of us went. Mama was able to run the last mile or so by herself.

After the run we stopped at an estate sale and picked up a few new treasures. We are suckers for a good deal. Later that night we attended our church's Trunk or Treat. The boys went around 2x to get treats of all kinds. Hurricane went as a tiger and growled at a lot of people on demand. Underfoot was a firefighter.

Be Well,
