Back In The Saddle Again

L4 went back to work on Monday. L4’s car pool decided to show him a new shortcut down a dirt road. On their way, they went through a little puddle that became a big puddle and got stuck. Really stuck. After an hour or more, they were still stuck and dirty. L4 went to work, and the driver went home to clean up. The Boy and I picked up L4 after work. He said he didn’t feel really well when we fetched him. He thought he was hungry. On Tuesday, L4 was sick with the same puking sickness I had in Mexico. He worked the rest of the week without incident.

The Boy has taken off with speaking. He is being more clear in what he says and is asking for what he wants. He is a very directed boy like his father. When he gets an idea in his head, he goes forward without being hindered in any way. He especially likes to ask for ice cream (which he gets out of the freezer by himself) and movies. We have hide his favorite movies, “Cars” and “The Incredibles.” He is trying to find a new favorite movie.

The Boy and I have started to walk about 2 miles every day. L4 thinks it is helping all of us to get a little exercise.

L4 planted the two blackberry vines he received for Christmas yesterday. It was quite a warm day. We have been told that it will get cold again in February and March for about a day or two and then progressively get warmer until September when it starts to cool off again.

After my Grandma K passed away, I asked my Grandpa K for her recipe cards. He gave me the cards. The cards consist of handwritten recipes and newspaper clippings. I started to type the recipes cards for a digital record for my siblings and cousins. Then we moved. I have now started a public blog for access to all. If anyone is interested, the address is http://recipecutouts.blogspot.com/.

Last night, Lucas decided to take a bath in ammonia. After I returned from the grocery store, Lucas poured about 3/4 ammonia out of the container onto the floor and rubbed it into his eyes. Lance ran him down the hallway to our shower to rinse out his eyes. Lucas thought he was being drowned by his Dad. This morning he wanted nothing to do with a bath or the shower but warmed up to the water again by the end.
