Cousins Camp

On Wednesday morning, Jilli, Katie and her children, and the boys and I drove to Idaho. The children traded between the cars to ride with their cousins.
We stopped at the Wyoming sign and took a picture. Someone had left a rock to be photographed to see it's journey.

When we arrive in Pocatello, our Pocatello cousins joined us, and Grandpa Kirky took all the grandchild for a treat. He said they could get whatever they wanted.

He spoiled them. Grandpa Kirky spoiled them by taking them to the store. The grandchildren were very lucky to do that.

It was the beginning of a Cousins Camp. We spent the next 2 days playing together. We are had play shops.

Hurricane's play shop was to see about averages and if the colors in a package of candy would be similar. They aren't.

Underfoot's play shop was to see how high each could jump, how fast they could run, and how many repeated exercises they could do. Cousin Rae did marble painting.

One morning we hiked a trail starting at the Kirkham Trail Head.

One day was National Donut Day, and we celebrated with a variety of flavors from Double Shot who uses potato in their dough.

One stop was the Fort Hall Replica and Bannock History Museum.

We had a pig party and a water fight. Lots of wonderful memories.

Friday night we got the chance to be all together minus 2 husbands. Katie used her stroller to take a family picture, and Scott took one using his drone.

On Saturday we went to Lava Hot Springs and swam in the pool. One of the lifeguards was a Spencer boy. His family moved to Soda Springs from Tucson. He would come to our house for 11 year old Scouts. It was funny to see him. He still loves bacon. Swimming is one of our favorite things to do, and we had a blast on their slides and in the pool.

Later that evening we went to the Idaho Falls Temple Celebration in Holt Area. The youth from 57 stakes performed a history of how the Idaho Falls Temple came to be in the area.
They sang the song "True to the Faith."
They waved their different colors at different points in the song.

Since there were so many youth, they used different colors for their dancing. There were specific groups that would dance at the front.
They took the set and built a temple. The Holt Arena was very hot. The boys really liked that they saw President Henry B. Eyring. Grandpa Kirky picked us up so we wouldn't have to walk back to their house.

Be Well.
